Wedding Video Q&A
Biography
Graham Vedmore DVD Production. A stills photographer in the 1970s Graham Vedmore returned to the wedding business to find the standards of production and quality at a low ebb so he went to college to study film editing and gained a Certificate in Film and Video Production.
Most wedding videos were mere run throughs with just a few edit points here or there to make them a tad more interesting. There are hundreds of low quality operators on the market producing videos that will never be watched more than once. That’s the downside. Our Philosophy is that we are willing to spend whatever time is required to produce a movie that you can watch over and over again.
Our unique selling proposition is that we will take the features of your wedding, colours, style and images, and cleverly customise these into the fabric of your movie. As far as we know nobody else does this! Our clients have been kind enough to say nice things about our work.
We keep things back! If we showed you all our new ideas and different content we would be limiting ourselves and that would never do! When you look back on a disc that we made for you, you will be looking back on a super day in which people with a love for the job did their very best to supply you with a quality product and support. If your date is free we would be delighted to bring you the best in wedding video. Graham Vedmore (Certificate in TV and Video production)
What’s the difference between yours and anybody else’s?
The main difference is in the editing. We are prepared to spend a lot more time on this, you will see the difference looking at the sample DVD. The cameras we use are Professional Panasonic, no compromise.
What am I getting for my money?
A movie, not a straight run through, we want you to watch this DVD over and over again. A DVD contains over an hour of footage. Using contemporary methods of editing we trim several hours of footage into a watchable form. If you wish, we can come out to your home and show you a complete wedding DVD to see how it might be structured and also discuss your requirements.
When my DVDs come how will they play?
In chapters. The pre-ceremony and service, the reception and the speeches, easy to navigate, easy to watch.
What is the difference between the packages?
They’re all good, we go the extra mile for you . The basic coverage at the ceremony and reception. The deluxe has a visit to the bride’s house (usually by a lady), the ceremony, reception, cameo and requests. The Super deluxe has all of these including two videographers at the ceremony plus guest interviews, presented in a double DVD case.
How many copies do I get?
Three copies. Your DVDs will come in a presentation case, white leatherette lined in velvet.
Extra copies are relatively inexpensive. You can choose to have additional copies in a leatherette or jewel cases.
What happens then?
After the wedding we will edit the footage… this takes a few days of hard work. This is your chance to have any changes made! Speak now or forever hold your peace. If you are happy with the result, we will burn the discs.
Do you do VHS?
No, nor cave painting, sketching, doodling or underwater stuff.
What if the Vicar says he won’t allow video.
Go back to him and ask if he’ll allow us to film the walk down the aisle and the register? If he says yes then we will film a little ‘mock up’ service using trick videography and slot it in between the walk down the aisle and the register or we will take stills and made a slideshow chapter. If he won’t allow any video we’re up the creek without a paddle.
What about music?
Choose what music you like…but give it to us before the wedding!
How do I book?
Just send back the booking form with a booking fee which is deductible from the balance. We will confirm by return of post.
The balance is payable at least a week before the wedding. Your DVDs will be ready in around two weeks unless you indicate otherwise.
"I just want to say thank you for the excellent services you provided us when filming our wedding. I have watched it over and over and even the groom had a wet eye at one point. You both were polite and calm throughout the day and we hardly noticed you were there. It was so exciting to have the DVD’s ready for us the day we got back from honeymoon too. Excellent services and we will recommend you to others."
